Modulo 16
The Modulo 16 algorithm is an optional check digit method for Codabar (NW-7) barcodes, used primarily in blood banking and library systems. It sums the numeric values of all data characters (excluding start/stop characters) and computes the check digit as the value needed to make the total a multiple of 16.
