Turkey was one of the first countries to implement a full pharmaceutical track-and-trace system. The Pharmaceutical Track and Trace System (ITS) requires 2D Data Matrix barcodes on all pharmaceutical products for serialization and verification throughout the supply chain from manufacturer to pharmacy.
